Anti run-on valve

It looks like my anti run-on valve appears to be faulty and was causing a vacuum leak. I've removed it for now and there doesn't seem to be an issue. It appears to be difficult to find a replacement. Are they necessary?

Re: Engine Removal

It took a lot longer than the one winter I had planned. After four years I finally got it back together and running last summer. Still having trouble getting it to run smooth, seems like the brake servo locks up the brakes as the engine gets warmer, etc... Hopefully a bunch of the items get sorted o...

Engine Bay Pictures

In the rebuild of my Japanese spec ERA I removed the Air Conditioning and I was wondering if any of you can share pictures of your engine bays. There are some items I am having trouble sorting out that do not show up in the microfiche.

Thanks,
Jeremy

EXH light on Japanese models

Is the EXH light measuring exhaust temperature or something else?

Thanks,

Re: R1067 Winter workshop

Now that the bumpers are off of my ERA I am definitely going to have to fix them up after I have seen how good yours look.

You had to color match though? No one has the original BRG color info?

Re: Engine Removal

Ok, the engine and subframe have been removed. Here is a picture of it removed. Next step is he rebuild... :) Oh and we didn't have to remove the turbo, but to make things a little easier the rad, starter and AC pump were removed. We then put the subframe on jack stands and two of us lifted the body...

Re: Engine Removal

ok, things are finally underway. I brought on some local mini help and they were optimistic that we could have it out in two hours. Well... that didn't happen. We are 3.5 hours in. We have also change the approach and are taking the engine out the bottom. Attached is a picture of the Engine Bay befo...

Re: Engine Removal

Ok, I think I will take it out the top. Just started into it this week. It is going to be my winter project. Hopefully it will only take me that long. :)

I will most likely be asking questions about how to put it back together.

Any tips on where to start and what to watch out for as I go through the process of removing the engin...
