My gauge has this number on it: 310.274/9/27 2.91 (I think the last bit might be the date of manufacture). I'll add a photo when I get home.

Unfortunately I don't. I would think if you take the old sender to a place that sells VDO gauges they should be able to ID the old one. Although they might need to know the part number on the existing gauge? However I had a quick look online and it looks like many of them share the same resistance c...

From memory it often sits around 70-80 but I think I've seen it at 90 a few times. On the Jap spec ones there is no scoop to direct air to the oil cooler as the A/C compressor is in the way. Your temps sound ok to me, a consistent 80 ish sounds good assuming you've got an 82 degree thermostat in the...

Mine sits just over 80 all the time, except when idiling for long periods then it slowly heads up to over 90 before the electric fan kicks in (jap spec). Maybe the thermostat is not quite shutting properly, although 80 sounds fine to me.

Hi, out of interest where are in NZ are you based (I'm in Auckland)? There are a couple of NZ era owners either on the forum or the Facebook group. I have been debating making a replica as mine is missing it's original grill when I have the time.
