Re: Himley Hall - 10 May 09

Just back from Himley Hall (sorry Darren didn't see your post until just logged in) - great weather and a good run back over to the Black Country (we used to live in Stourbridge and Brierley Hill). Met the guy who owns R1020 which he bought last Nov with just 2K on the clock. He also owns an origina...

Re: A day on the Dyno

Not sure on Saturday opening at Hi-Tech but most places are open Saturday mornings. No problem on the rollers with no need to tie the front down. I have also previously had a Mini (1293 injection ex-race engine with custom ECU) rolling roaded at Aldon in Brierley Hill around 5 or 6 years ago and the...

Re: A day on the Dyno

I had mine tuned up in March at HiTech Motorsport in Cradley Heath (in the Black Country). New needle (£11) and an hour or so of expert tinkering and it was a different car! 96BHP (at 6,241 RPM) and nudging 105lb/ft torque from a pretty standard ERA 1275 (some mild headwork back in 2000 when the eng...

H2H Run

Is anyone else doing this 2 hour countryside run from Huntingdon to Hunstanton on Sunday? It is organised by HAMOC and there are apparently over 100 Mini's taking part (including my ERA).

Re: Brooklands mini day 29th March

Met up with the guy who owned H671 WGN at the end of the day and had a chat with him - seemed a nice guy who says he gets on the forum occasionally. The briefing for the test hill said you were supposed to have 6 inches of ground clearance to go up - I doubt any of the Mini's had that! I checked wit...

Re: Brooklands mini day 29th March

Cracking day out - yep we counted four ERA's as well. Did you see mine (G543 TFK) roaring up the test hill - great fun!

I have a couple of pics to post and did see your motor parked on the banking but hadn't got my camera with me at the time to take a pic.

Re: Brooklands mini day 29th March

We are off down to a hotel near Wokingham this morning and over to the event tomorrow morning. Just fired the car up and it is sounding good following a recent rolling road tune so hopefully all will be well. Washed and vac'd last weekend (though expecting rain today) and looks dry for Sunday. I wil...

Re: IMM 2009 - Longbrige 7-9 AUGUST 2009.

Good news that you do not have to do all 4 days of the IMM to get your ERA onto the Mini 50 stand. Count me in for the stand display at Mini 50, Sara (my wife) can always come along to the show later in the BINI with Joseph (our 1 year old) and will not need to stop for the full day. Not sure that I...
