R1028 Fuel pump
Hi Everyone Has anybody got a photo of the position of the fuel pump on the sub frame, and the connections? Although the original pipes are in place they have been damaged about 8" from the sub frame and twisted away. I will have to cut them at that point and replace them. I presume they should run ...

Re: Restoration R1028
Hi Pete , The drawing is great. The fuel pipes are still fitted, including the fuel pipe adaptor, and they run to the correct place in the engine bay. Do you know what pressure the pump should deliver, or what the pressure should be delivered to the carb? I do have the rear wiper motor but not the w...

Re: Restoration R1028
Thanks Pete, I am intrigued about the petrol tank numbers. Why would they number them, or am I just being thick? I could do with information about the petrol tank. My car has a tank from an MPI car, with the pump in the tank. I was contemplating getting a new tank and fitting a return but have no id...

Re: Restoration R1028
I have a set of drawings that Darren gave me a while ago for the pattern for the cross member. Hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a problem as the originals have left marks in the flooring where they were bolted. I think I will leave the strut the standard length and if it needs to be shortened a...

Re: Restoration R1028
Thanks for that. Really good information. That seems to sort out the brake cylinders and back plate. Need the info on the cone length. Also does everyone run Spax dampers? Many years ago I restored a Mk3 Spitfire and put Spax on it and they packed up after about 18 months. I am running GAZ adjustabl...

RESTORATION R1028
Hi, Just worked out how to upload photos.
I have 95% of the parts. Short of time and money.
The main thing I have got started.
More photos as I go.

Restoration R1028
Hi, I am starting the slow but sincere job of restoring R1028. A few of you know the appalling condition of this car and the massive amount of work involved. I know I spoke to Darren at Stamford Hall a few years ago. I have left the car untouched since I bought it. I am now stripping it and getting ...

Sunroof
Hi.
Is there a specific sun roof fitted to the ERA or did it come with the donor car? If it was with the car to start with did BL fit a specific type or did they fit what was to hand? My ERA has a Btitax roof and it needs replacing and I would like to get it right.
