Re: Track Day use ???

Hi Duncan 10:40 or 15:40 will probably be fine. I suggested millers 20:50 as that is what i was recommended and the info on the millers website seemed to taly with what i was told. this is what i was told for A & A+ engines. 15:40 or 10:40 will be fine if the engine is still fairly tight, ie upto ab...

Re: Mini In The Park 2007

Hi Paul. I sent out another reminder to mini mag this week, and copied Chris in on the email. I have still not had a reply back. I have downloaded the booking form but there is no cut off date for payment on the info. I have left a phone message for the person to phone me back on monday. The info on...

Re: Rebuilding a T3 Turbocharger

Hi All Finally finished the rebuild. It took 2 days to remove the studs in the end. :( 4 heads broke off with the spanner, the other 2 had to be gound off. I bought some drills and a stud extractor from machine mart on Sat. Unforturnately the bolts are hightenile so blunted the drill bits. I drilled...

Re: Rebuilding a T3 Turbocharger

Hi Paul

They are either 13mm ot 1/2" AF
i think i will pick up another 1/2" tomorrow and grind a little off it to get it past the casting. if i can get it to go on, i will try some heat before i try any pressure on the spanner.

Cheers

Darren

Re: Rebuilding a T3 Turbocharger

Hi Paul.

I might be able to get one on 1 of the bolts but the other 5 i cant even get the ring end on them.

Good thought though.

If the blowtorch doesn't work i might resort to grinding the heads off and then drilling the bolts out.
Might have to get some of your expesive drill bits

Re: Track Day use ???

Hi Duncan Good to hear you are getting an ERA. With regard to your question, ERA's have metro turbo vented front brakes with 4 pot callipers which should drematically reduce the chance of brake fade at the front, however the rear drums are standard mini drums with just an additional spacer. these co...
