Re: Track Day use ???
Hi Duncan Good to hear it has finally arrived. It is still possible to fit 12" wheels over metro turbo / era brakes as a friend of mine has done this before. http://www.eraturbo.com/technical/page1/h02.png this is a link to the microfiche page for the brake set up you should have. the brakes should ...

Re: The engine's out
I have ordered the new engine. :D i went for the 1310cc MED engine in the end. they could have done a 1380 for the same price, but they recommended the smaller size to keep the relability of the gearbox, so i decided to take their advice. :| with the extra cc's i am hoping to get over 100bhp, but i ...

Re: Track Day use ???
Hi Duncan
I'm not sure what the viscosity the era's should have. My water shield says "ERA recommends Syntron X" synthetic oil. My metro turbo book recommends 10w:40 for Aug 83 on.
i would be interested to see what the ERA handbook recommends too.
Regards
Darren

Re: The engine's out
BUM!!! Spoke to avonbar & med today regarding the crank & flywheel. I also asked about a new set of rings for my pistons as they were a little wet on top. i thought it might have been from the turbo. they suggested popping out the wet piston and seeing if there is any carbon under the rings near th...

Re: The engine's out
Bugger    The strip down went well to begin with, but the trouble came when i got to the clutch. It apears that the flywheel bolt had become lose the the flywheel has been spinning a bit and had welded itself to the crank. it took me over an hour to get it off with the extractor and a...
