Re: Knebworth Mini & VW Show
Well done Jezza. Done a few show and shines with mine now and not even come close. Thought I had a decent chance at the Riviera Run as I was in the Rover Limited Editions category and I could only find 2 other LE's but still came in 5th! LOL

Re: 1991 black ERA on ebay.
hmmm that's the 3rd black ERA I've seen with the boot badge in that position. I wonder if there was some silly reason for it? Here's an early pick of R1024 just before I carried out a partial restoration on it and the badge is in the same place. I remember having a good look at the badge when I had ...

Gerald Dale rolling road day
Brighton mini club had a rolling road session today to be featured in August / September Miniworld. The ERA done me proud winning me most powerful A series on the day with 102.7bhp and 117.4 lb ft of Torque. It's still running standard boost all I done from the run last year was advance the timing a...
Re: Sunroof
I have been looking for a sunroof glass for my ERA for 18 months now! I can tell you it doesn't seem to be the same as they fitted to any Metro, Meastro, Montego, Land rover disco or mini.
Good luck finding one! Another ERA owner has a spare, just waiting for him to name his price

Re: Air leak under Boost
I replaced the offside throttle spindle seal on mine today and it took about 5 mins. The old seal was cracked and split. It's worth noting that the seal is fitted the other way round to a standard HIF44 and there is a plastic washer to prevent the seal from being blown out under boost.

Re: Air leak under Boost
Mine seems to be leaking from the throttle spindle on the cable side of the carb. I just sprayed a little carb cleaner at the linkage and the revs dropped off confirming the leak. Luckily it looks like it can be done with ease.

Re: Air leak under Boost
I have the same problem with mine, it's been like it for ages but I've yet to find the leak. It sounds like it may be the carb itself so I've been putting off a rebuild as apart from the hissing under boost it runs very nicely. Mine only starts to leak above 0.4bar
