The engine paint is just Halfords own engine enamel but it is a pretty good match to the original and I've used it before on other cars and it goes on well and does not crack, peel etc.

The fuel pump relay is a sod to get to it's a dash out job. It's bolted right in the middle behind the dash and is pink from what I remember. As Paul says check for 12v at the pump when cranking, if you've got 12v and an earth then the pump is probably stuck. If you've not got 12v check the fuse and...

Big update, not done one for a while! I got bored waiting for the head so the block has been painted including the gearbox, the starter motor, alternator and distributor have been overhauled and painted, radiator cowl painted all rubber fuel hoses replaced and all the engine steady bushes. http://sp...

If it's got a spark OK it's probably the fuel pump that has stuck. Get underneath and give it a few good whacks while someone cranks the engine over. You should be able to hear the pump running.
