Gearbox Casting Number

Hi,

wich is the original ERA gearbox??

Is it DAM5626, Dam4818 or DAM2886 ??

wanted: Radio, front speaker, heater cover panel and radio panel

Hi.
Some confusion here. heading says "Gearbox Casting Number"
Rest seem to refer to complete gearbox.
from the Microfiche, page E05, my interpretation is that the complete gearbox is " BHM 5161 Transmission Assembly 3.21 final drive." but the casing is BHM 5093 illustrated at E04. Were did you get the DAM numbers?

DAM ???? is the number cast on the side of the casing, not the part number applicable to a built unit.

The DAM may possibly be the foundry identification number.
.The foundry normaly put there own part number for there reference and identification as well as the casting number.?

I have this copy from a magazine article.
I hope you can read it.
I believe the The A+ 3 bolt main shaft bearing retainer was adopted because the 4 bolt tended to crack with the extra power on the turbo metro cars.
