The point made about the entry access is a good one (I broke my body kit at Cornbury!)

Uttoxeter being a hard standing and central is a plus. My preference has always been for Standford Hall since the show has plenty of room and a central display area which I am sure they would be happy to give us a 25th Anniversary display area if we could guarantee them a reasonable number of cars. The downside is that this show is really the last show on the calendar and if it turns into the wash out that it was last year that is our celebration gone!

Miniworld and Mini Magazine are both aware of the ERA celebration and will no doubt get behind whatever we decide to do.

I do know the organisers of this show but I guess we have to start with how many cars are able/willing to attend. I now have a second one which should be ready by then, Steve who I dont think is a member here usually goes to the show. So seriously who else can come???

If we can get a genuine commitment for say 10 cars I will approach the organisers and the magazines.

Yes we can do the NMOC show at Stanford Hall on Sept 14th - just got the ERA back after 4 weeks off the road whilst the engine was rebuilt by SMMC at a cost of nearly £3K. Meant we had to do the long planned European road trip in a non-Mini (may try again next year) but I am very keen to get the car out and about now that I have it back.

Piston failure was the initial problem and when stripped down it appears that when the engine was rebuilt back in 2001 the 'specialist' Mini builder decided to use Marina van pistons and various other 'non-Turbo' parts....

Ok, lets do Stanford as the main goal as this seems to be the most popular destination so far.

I will have an email around and see if i can get more interest.

Hi All,

It's been very quiet on here recently.
I apologise for being quiet myself too. I have been extremely busy recently.

Anyway, I have requested a spot for 10 cars at Stanford.
So far I have positive vibes from the following:-

1. Rob 1006
2. Rob 1089
3. Prop
4. Jezza
5. Paul
6. an old original
7. Ian
8. Ricky
9. me
10. Steve 1090
11. Nigel

Possibly Garry Butler if its back on the road.

Can you confirm either way if you are in or out.

If there is anyone else interested (or someone i have forgotten) please make your self known :)

Daz

You can put me down for another spot because r1089 just needs painting and putting back together.

Also Steve who owns r1090 is definately going to Standford Hall and would like to park with us.

So is that 10 so far?

I wonder if GC Motors would like to bring their 2 along - oh actually the Ripspeed one was reported as sold.

Ok Rob I will add your 2 and Steve to the list above. :D

I have had confirmation that the spot for 9-10 is booked, but I can amend it if required.

Should be Ok for Stanford Hall as car currently running OK and suspension not collapsed in the last few weeks - looking forward to it - seems a long time since we have had a good sized group of cars altogether.

I am off down to Kent tomorrow and popping in to the IMM on the Sunday (Mini 55) - anyone down there with their ERA?

See you at Stanford.
